Filipino Holidays – A Guide to Save Your Ass…

One very important and often overlooked detail of working with outsourced employees in the Philippines is time off for holidays and special occasions. I mentioned before that I love to reward and incentivise my employees in a few different ways (13-month bonuses, paying on a weekly basis, etc.).

In addition to those things, a big part of the Filipino culture revolves around celebration and family time. Holidays are important to them, and showing respect and flexibility to allow the time off for that will strengthen the relationship of respect between you and your employee. It’s a win-win.
